We start by using diamond tools for mechanical grinding to remove coatings and contaminants, and to open surface pores for better adhesion. A HEPA dust-free vacuum system captures all dust and debris. Next, we inspect and repair cracks or imperfections with high-quality materials, ensuring a smooth, stable surface. Proper preparation enhances adhesion, safety, and the coating's longevity.
STEP TWO | 100% Solids Hydrophobic Epoxy Base Coat:
We apply the first coat, the Moisture Vapor Barrier, which is a 100% solids hydrophobic epoxy. This coat is crucial for preventing moisture-related issues and provides a stable foundation for the subsequent layers. The Moisture Vapor Barrier is allowed to cure completely to ensure a solid base for the following coatings.
STEP THREE | Tru Alpha NanoX Polyaspartic Base Coat:
We apply the pigmented Tru Alpha NanoX Polyaspartic Base Coat with the customer’s chosen chip blend. This coat adds both aesthetic appeal and protective strength.
