An Unlikely Underdog Story To Greatness!
Tru-Grit started with the two of us—a father and son who wanted to build something different. I’m James, the son, and alongside my dad, Tim, we’ve spent decades working in the coatings industry. Over the years, we saw what worked, what didn’t, and how often quality could be sacrificed for the sake of cutting corners. We knew we could do better, so we decided to build Tru-Grit around doing things the right way.
Between us, we bring more than 57 years of experience in coatings, chemistry, and construction. We’re not the kind of owners who simply sit behind a desk. We’re involved in the details—from developing and testing products in our in-house lab to solving challenges out on the job.
