Top 5 Benefits of Choosing the Tru DuraQuartz Solid Hybrid Polyurea System for Your Florida Garage
When you live in Central Florida, your garage floor deals with more than just parked cars. From intense humidity and UV rays to unexpected downpours and year-round vehicle use, your concrete surface needs to hold up under pressure. That’s why homeowners across the region are turning to the Tru DuraQuartz Solid Hybrid Polyurea System—a high-performance solution designed to last in Florida’s demanding climate.
Here are the top five reasons this system stands out:
Built to Withstand Florida Humidity and Moisture
Central Florida’s high humidity and frequent rain can wreak havoc on unsealed or improperly coated garage floors. The DuraQuartz system includes moisture-resistant properties that help block water intrusion, minimizing the risk of bubbling, peeling, or mold growth. It’s a smart defense against Florida’s wettest months.
UV-Resistant and Color-Stable in Harsh Sunlight
Garage doors in Florida often stay open, exposing floors to direct sunlight. Many coatings will fade or yellow over time—but not DuraQuartz. This system uses UV-stable components that maintain their color and finish even under prolonged sun exposure, giving your floor a long-lasting, clean look.
Heavy-Duty Performance for Real-Life Use
Whether you’re parking a truck, working on DIY projects, or hosting weekend gatherings, your garage sees it all. The DuraQuartz system is impact-resistant and designed to handle hot tires, dropped tools, and everyday wear without cracking or chipping. It’s ideal for busy households and active lifestyles.
Easy to Clean and Low Maintenance
Let’s face it—no one wants to spend weekends scrubbing the garage. The seamless, non-porous surface of this coating makes cleanup a breeze. Oil spills, dust, or leaves can be wiped or rinsed away without staining or damaging the floor, keeping your garage looking fresh with minimal effort.
Sleek Appearance with Optional Finishes
The DuraQuartz system delivers more than just strength—it looks great too. Available in a smooth satin finish, it brings a clean, modern feel to any garage. You can also customize it with optional color blends or flake textures to match your style while still benefiting from commercial-grade performance.
Thinking About Upgrading Your Garage?
If you’re a Central Florida homeowner looking for a durable, attractive garage floor that can handle the region’s heat, humidity, and activity—the Tru DuraQuartz Solid Hybrid Polyurea System is your answer.

DuraQuartz Solid Hybrid Polyurea System Process
At Tru-Grit Garage Flooring, we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier flooring solutions through a meticulous, multi-step process that ensures durability, aesthetics, and long-term performance. Our approach combines advanced technology with expert craftsmanship to transform your concrete floors into resilient, beautiful surfaces. Here's an overview of the steps we take to achieve flawless results.
Installation Steps Explained:

STEP ONE | Surface Preparation:
This step is critical in our process. We use high-performance industrial-grade grinding systems and HEPA-certified vacuum systems, capturing 99% of dust particles to ensure safety for both our installers and you. Special metal bond diamonds, with shards of metal in various hardness levels, are used for coating removal and surface preparation.
After surface grinding, we identify and mend cracks using special tools and repair materials. Our fast-setting crack mix can mend a crack in as little as 3 minutes and can be ground smooth in 6 minutes. We address both shallow and deep cracks with the right tools and techniques to ensure a flawless surface.

STEP TWO | Applying The Base Coat
Next, we apply 15 MILs of Our Tru Flow High Build Epoxy With Quartz Aggregate onto to the concrete floor. This step not only creates a robust barrier against moisture intrusion but also boasts an 8 MIL thickness, ensuring long-lasting resilience. We use precise tools like squeegees, notch trowels, and rollers to ensure the base coat is applied evenly and robustly.
STEP THREE | Applying a Second Coat Application:
Then, we apply a 8-10 MIL Application Of Tru-Alpha Polyaspartic Pigmented Grout Coat Application. This step emphasizes precision and thickness control to achieve the perfect coating thickness. We use precise tools like squeegees, notch trowels, and rollers to ensure the base coat is applied evenly and robustly.

STEP FOUR | Applying The Top Coat:
The final step is the application between 6 to 10 MILs of Our Tru Alpha High Wear Satin Polyurea Pigmented Finish Coat Application. This specially formulated nanoparticle polycarbonate additive is designed to withstand wear over time. Wait approximately four to 24 hours for light foot traffic and 48 hours for vehicular traffic.
STEP FIVE | Curing Time, Quality Check and Final Inspection:
Allow the floor to cure for 24 hours before permitting item placement and 48 hours before allowing vehicular traffic. This ensures that the coating has fully set and hardened, providing optimal durability and performance.
Conduct a thorough inspection of the finished floor to ensure it meets quality standards and adheres to specifications. Address any touch-ups or corrections as needed to ensure the final result is flawless and up to standard.
