Our proven flooring process began with our professional dust-free grinding, a crucial step to prepare the concrete for optimal adhesion. Dust-free grinding not only ensures a smooth surface but also prevents dust from contaminating the layers of coating, leading to a cleaner, more durable finish. To reinforce the structure, we carefully filled the expansion joints using a premium joint filler mixed with 40F sand, providing additional strength to handle heavy vehicle traffic.
Triple Layer Protection for Maximum Durability
The three-day application process involved three specialized layers, each contributing to the floor's resilience and aesthetic appeal. Here's a closer look at the coatings:
Base Coat: A 100% Solid Moisture Block Epoxy with decorative flakes was applied as the foundation. This moisture-resistant layer is critical for environments where spills and moisture are inevitable, as it prevents water infiltration and protects the underlying concrete.
Grout Coat: The second layer consisted of a 100% Solid Slow Cure Epoxy, tinted to a sophisticated platinum gray. Final Topcoat: The finishing layer featured our high-wear Polyaspartic 85 slow-cure coating, designed for heavy-duty use. Polyaspartic coatings cure faster than traditional epoxy, allowing for quicker turnaround times without sacrificing quality.
