STEP ONE | Surface Preparation:

Remove all dirt, oil, and debris from the garage floor with a thorough cleaning, followed by mechanical grinding using specially designed diamonds to abrade the surface and eliminate coatings and other contaminants.

Throughout the surface preparation process, a HEPA dust-free vacuum system circulates the air, ensuring a clean and safe work environment. After we do our crack repair, we will do this process again to really ensure the surface is prepared for the next step.

STEP TWO | Application of Fast-Setting 100% Solid Epoxy Primer Coat:

We apply a high-quality epoxy primer coat with 6-12 MILS DFT to establish a strong and durable foundation, ensuring even coverage for optimal adhesion and long-lasting performance.

Optional Eco-X Chip System:

Broadcast X-chips into the base coat resin to create a light, uniform texture if desired. This step adds subtle visual variety to the solid color finish, enhancing the overall appearance and providing a touch of depth to the surface.

STEP THREE | Application or our ALUMx HIGH WEAR ADDITIVE:

AlumX High Wear Additive is a superfine aluminum oxide that, when mixed into coatings like Poly85, really boosts durability, slip resistance, and lifespan. It makes surfaces tougher, more wear-resistant, and safer by improving traction, especially in busy or wet spots like garages and commercial floors.

STEP FOUR | Application of Industrial Grade High-Wear Epoxy Topcoat:

We apply a high-wear epoxy topcoat pigmented at 4-8 MILS DFT with the customer’s desired color. Ensure an even application to achieve a clean, solid color finish, providing both durability and a polished appearance.

STEP FIVE | Curing Time, Quality Check, and Final Inspection:

Allow the floor to cure for 24 hours before placing items, 36 hours for foot traffic, and 72 hours for vehicular traffic to ensure optimal durability and performance. Inspect the finished floor to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications, addressing any necessary touch-ups for a flawless result.

Potential Add-Ons:

• Apron: Coating the apron with Sherwin-Williams solvent acrylic, with the customer charged at the material cost per gallon multiplied by 2.5.

• Satin or Matte Finish Top Coat: Add a satin or matte finish top coat for $1.00 per square foot, which will extend the installation by 1 day.

• Expansion Joint Filling: Fill expansion joints at $8.00 per linear foot.
